THE PATHWAY TO THE “GOSPEL OF GRACE”
FIRST & FOREMOST. You have to know and accept that Man does not save himself, for “salvation is of the Lord.”
In spite of sin man is made in God’s image and He is their Creator. God’s predestined purpose for man was to save them from sin and death through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
“The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” (Proverbs 4:19, KJV)
God’s eternal purpose is to bring all men into submission to His eternal Kingdom, which is being established through Jesus Christ, His anointed King. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” (John 3:19-20, KJV)
However, those who resist and rebel against his kingdom remain blinded to the truth of the gospel. (Some would argue that such people are predestined to eternal condemnation.) “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.” (Psalms 82:5, KJV).
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” (Psalm 118:22) and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall” (Is. 8:14). They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. (1 Peter 2:7).
Your deliverance from the power and penalty of sin is accomplished through the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Being Led by the Holy Spirit requires for me to Walk in Spirit; (Romans 8: 9,) but I am not in the flesh but in SPIRIT. This is because; the SPIRIT of God dwells in me. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. But (Romans 8: 11); “but if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make alive) your mortal bodies by his SPIRIT that dwelleth in you.”
